What Is An Arc Flash
An arc flash is the sudden release of intense light and heat produced from an electric arc. An Arc Flash occurs during an arc fault, a type of electrical explosion or short circuit condition, which passes through a luminous bridge formed in a gap between two electrodes.
PPE should be viewed as the last line of protection after an arc flash incident has occurred.
