Shipping LNG Tankers Costs Decline
With the decline in the price of LNG declining so much this does have some added benefits for the vessels that run on LNG as a fuel that are the link between buyers and sellers of the gas.
I guess it is the good and bad of it all as the cost to transport the LNG is lower but the sale of the gas is also down. Of course this would not be the case for the long term contracts that are already in place but how does that explain the dozen or so tankers sitting idle near Singapore.
With the demand for LNG decreasing and the supply side increasing this does not look good for the future of the Industry. I guess if the business operations knew how the outcome for the world markets and such would be they wouldn’t have to be in the business because they would already be very, very rich.
