Live Traffic Video On Samsung Truck
As you know traveling on the highway behind a semi-trailer is stressful at the best of times especially when you need to pass. This may be the way of the future as Samsung has come up with a great idea to make it easier for other drivers to view the road ahead before they pass attaching giant TV screens on the back of the trucks.
Great idea as according to Samsung’s video, almost one person dies in a traffic accident every hour in Argentina, so the need for something like their ‘Safety Truck’ is definitely there.
The truck’s prototype has already been tested, though no models are currently on the road. Samsung claims to be working together with local governments to figure out how to optimize the system for live road use. “So far Samsung has been able to confirm that the technology works and that this idea can definitely save the lives of many people,” they write.
Samsung wants to use its technology to make this type of passing safer and easier for drivers when following behind their trucks. Each of Samsung’s Safety Trucks have a wireless front-facing camera installed on the grill, and on the backside of the truck is a giant four-screen display showing a live feed from the camera. The prototype has been tested both no operating truck models are on the rode yet.
