Investing In Training For Skills Sources To Enter Mexico’s Market
Talent management for the oil and gas industry is something that additional focus needs to be placed on to ensure that a best practice approach is taken. Currently, the approaches taken, to introduce persons from other companies or persons leaving universities are a short term fix. This is so as there has to be significant investments made to bring these individuals up to par with safety standards or overall training to learn the industry.
These are short term fixes and there should be a better approach to an industry that will be around for some time. The best thing to do is for them to save all of that money they are investing approximately every five years and put it in a training program for employees and persons interested in the industry.
They could have constant training programs and establish continuity so once a worker leaves there is always someone available to move into that position to continue operations seamlessly.
