High Heat Thermobest Gloves Options
As a follow up to my last post on the high heat gloves manufactured by National Safety Apparel I would would like to provide some options for you to choose from.
There are three very similar styles of gloves with slight variations to choose from when it comes to the cuff, thumb and palm design.
The G64TCVB14GC style has a 19.0 oz. Goldenbest cuff and winged thumb while the style G51TCVB14 provides you with a lighter 8 oz. Kevlar® Twill cuff and a straight thumb. The third similar style that I would like to bring to your attention is the G51TCVB14115 which is just like the G51TCVB14 except that you get the addition of a Nomex® palm patch for increased thermal protection.
All these gloves have a Cut Protection Performance Test rating of Level 5 which is very good.
The Thermobest style is made from a heavy duty 22 oz. Kevlar® blend fabric and offers good heat resistance and providing an abrasion resistance of 7 with a maximum temperature usage of 800° F. and the entire glove is lined with 12 oz wool.
