B.C. Premier Offers Jobs To India Workers
The comments that were made seem like political rhetoric just to gain popularity. It would not be practical to give Indian workers jobs while there is a significant amount of unemployed Canadians. They would be cheaper of course, however that would have a negative impact on the economy of Canada and would eventually result in a decline in revenues.
These statements seem to have been made based on the presence of Indian investors to help gain support for the project in BC. Politicians must act responsibly and know what and when to say it. Saying these comments to possible investors can result in them holding the full disbursement of investments until the promises of using Indian labor is delivered.
