Your safety program has to include requirements for ensuring proper hearing protection is required for arc flash protection.
When considering the correct ppe for arc flash protection did you know that the NFPA 70E 2015 standard requires workers in an arc flash hazard zone to wear insert-type hearing protection (ear plugs)? This is a subject that may not have received enough consideration in the past but is well worth reviewing.
