Carbon Output Could Increase Significantly With B.C. LNG Development
The output of carbon is a real concern to the surrounding communities of the LNG facilities. It is great that the facilities will be open to provide employment and opportunity in the area but we must not forget the environmental issues that must be considered.
The options must be weighed and the formal establishment of appropriate output levels must be evaluated. The implementation of the carbon tax may be a solution if it is properly monitored. Having a tax that can be controlled by the large corporations may be a way to control the output as they will not want to lose any revenue.
