Good Idea For Environmental and Economic Reasons
This is a great idea as it seeks to achieve two environmental and socio-economic goals of the region. Also being EU funded there must be regulations and studies in place to ensure safety and feasibility to the project.
The EU is known to fund projects that are practical and will work to achieve long term goals over a period of time. The first goal of reducing emissions by using a cleaner fuel is a very good one and must be commended.
The secondary goal of combining passengers and freight is also very good as it will seek to reduce the traffic in the shipping lanes, reduce congestion and overall emissions. It is good to see a great push to achieve something practical in preserving our environment.
