Cline Shale Boom?
Will there be a boom at Cline Shale? That’s the expectation of many even if some believe that Cline Shale isn’t as hot as some people claim it to be. More and more oil companies are descending on the area to set up operations at the site that cover the following Counties: Coke, Fisher, Mitchell, Howard, Irion, Reagan, Scurry, Nolan, and Sterling.
According to an article published on Bakken.com companies such as Laredo Petroleum, Pioneer National Resources, and Apache Corporation are now at the Cline Shale formation. The same article mentions the size of the formation: 200 to 550 deep. It is predicted to produce as much as 30 million barrels in its lifetime.
In preparation for the anticipated oil boom, the Cline Shale Alliance has been formed. The Alliance was formed to ensure that the east is ready for business development once the oil industry booms in that part of the Permisian basin.
