Sizing For Nomex Coveralls
It is the intent of this article to bring to your attention questions we get from time to time about how to measure for a certain style of Nomex coveralls that we sell.
Question:
How are the coveralls sized and how do I measure for them?
Answer:
Purchasing protective clothing in the right size is very important for the wearer’s comfort and safety. The Nomex Coveralls come in a wide range of sizes so it is important to know how to get the correct measurements in order to purchase the right size.
In order to know what size to order, take the following steps: first, measure the following body parts in inches: chest, stomach, and hips. Make sure you are measuring the chest at the fullest point by placing the measuring tape under the arms and around your shoulder blades. You also have to make sure that you are wearing clothing when taking the measurements since the Coveralls are meant to be worn over clothes. Next, add two inches to the largest measurement taken. For example, if your chest measures 46 inches, your stomach measures 40, and your hips are 42 inches, the right size for you would be 48.
Determining the size height is easy since there are only two classifications for height- Regular and Tall. Those who stand between 5’8” and 5’11 ½” would fall under Regular while those whose height are between 6’0” and 6’3” would fall under the Tall sizing.
Question:
Do these coveralls fit true to size?
Answer:
The CNC2 coveralls fit a little on the small side. As people do come in different proportions, the sizing chart suggestions are not always 100% accurate. It is recommended to purchase one size larger to ensure a comfortable fit.
And yes following is the web page for this particular style of Nomex coveralls. Not so much that I want to sell the coveralls to you but also so you can see the product I am referring to in this information.
